A mother’s love is unparalleled, as seen in ET‘s exclusive first look at the new trailer for Mothers and Daughters!
The upcoming family drama features interwoven stories about motherhood, which are tied together through Rigby Gray (Selma Blair), a single photographer at the peak of her career whose unexpected pregnancy turns her life upside down.
“How long do I have?” Rigby solemnly asks Dr. Hamilton (Quinton Aaron).
“It’s not a death sentence,” Hamilton replies with a laugh.
As she comes to terms with being a mom, Rigby seeks to repair her relationship with her own estranged mother. She learns how different maternal relationships can be through a series of photographs documenting motherhood in all its varieties.
“Mothers come in all shapes and sizes,” Rigby says in the trailer. “Sometimes there for just a moment, and sometimes they remain for a lifetime.”
Mothers and Daughters, also starring Susan Sarandon, Sharon Stone, Courteney Cox, Christina Ricci, Eva Amurri Martino, Mira Sorvino, Paul Wesley and Ashanti, opens on May 6.

Ally Walker’s (“Sons of Anarchy”) directorial debut “Sex, Death and Bowling” has found a home with Monterey Media. The distribution company has acquired all North American rights to the indie and will release it in theaters this fall.
Written and directed by Walker, the dramedy stars Adrian Grenier (“Entourage”), Selma Blair (“Hellboy”), Bailey Chase (“Longmire”), Drea de Matteo (“The Sopranos”) and Joshua Rush (“Mr. Peabody and Sherman”).
The official synopsis reads: “Eli McAllister (Rush) is on a quest. He is also setting out to win The Fiesta Cup, a local bowling tournament. Joining him is his famous fashion designer uncle, Sean McAllister (Grenier). Sean hasn’t spent time with his family – specifically his father – for years. But now he has come home to bid farewell to his older brother, Eli’s father. Thrown into the tournament as his ailing brother’s substitute, Sean clashes with his father as old wounds are opened.”
“Ally has done a wonderful turn in her feature directing debut giving us a compelling story, a family and a heart-warming piece of Americana,” commented Scott Mansfield, Managing Partner of Monterey Media.
The film will be released sometime this fall.

Judy Greer, Fred Armisen and Selma Blair have joined Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong in music drama “Geezer.”
The cast additions come as director Lee Kirk begins lensing in New York City. Producers are Tim Perell of Process Media and Alex A. Ginzburg and Tony Lee of Let It Play.
Dallas Roberts, Chris Messina and Brian Baumgartner are also starring.
“Geezer” centers on the mid-life crisis of a husband and father who, on his 40th birthday, decides to revisit his punk-rock past by throwing an extravagant party in the presidential suite of the Drake Hotel — where he encounters his beautiful ex-girlfriend and former bandmates who have since moved on to bigger and better things.
The film will include new songs written and performed by Armstrong.
“The initial seeds for ‘Geezer’ were planted a couple of years ago, when my son was born within weeks of my fortieth birthday,” said Kirk. “Billie Joe Armstrong brings an exciting authenticity to the film. He’s a dad, he’s a musician and he’s an incredible talent.”
Kirk is represented by Brad Petrigala at Brillstein, Adam Kanter at Paradigm and Tara Kole at Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown.
Selma Blair, Bailey Chase and Adrian Grenier to star in the indie drama,
‘Sex, Death and Bowling’, which begins shooting in Los Angeles in mid-October.
Producers are Larry Rattner, Sig De Miguel and Ally Walker, who is also directing and scripting.
Chase will portray a formerly supremely fit soldier just back from Iraq who’s in rapid decline from pancreatic cancer. Blair will play his wife.
Chase has been set to star in the third season of A&E’s “Longmire.” His other credits include “Damages,” “Saving Grace” and the upcoming drama “Tao of Surfing.”
Blair was the female lead in “Anger Management” for two seasons until departing in June amid reports of friction with Charlie Sheen. Grenier is known primarily for his role on TV’s “Entourage”; a feature version based on the series is in limbo.
Chase, Blair and Grenier are represented by Gersh. Chase is managed by Untitled Entertainment.
